August 10th, during the dry season, in Bong mines, Bong County, Liberia, a star named Kini meaning ( destined for greatness) was born. T Sweet belongs to the Mende and Kpelle tribe. Growing up in a household with his siblings three brothers and two sisters. The artist first surprised his parents to music at the age of 5 when he did a rendition of R Kelly's I believe I can fly, prompting his father to invest in his first musical instrument which was a ukelele. Growing up in a very upscale environment where the elites, mostly of German descent reside, the dream of growing up and becoming an engineer like his father seems to be a stretch of an arm away. Then came in the civil war of 1989 that caused the artist and his family to flee to the capital city of Liberia Monrovia montserrado county. At the age of 7, Kini started writing songs, movie scripts, and listening to all genres of music. In 1997 the artist made headways when he performed for the former president of Liberia, her Excellency Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf at the unity party headquarters for her campaign lunch to become president against Charles Taylor. He never ceases to amaze the ladies; girls loved him women adored him, boys wanted to be like him and kids idolized him, thus giving him the Nickname TO0 SWEET which later became T Sweet. T sweet is the recipient of two Africano TV Awards, Liberian Artist of the Year (2013), and Best New Artist (2010). He also got nominated for artist of the year 2016 for the Liberia Music award (LMA). He is also a recipient of Rhapsody Award for most Single sold by international/foreign solo artist for his hit single "Riding Me", from his debut album Rude Awakening which soared to the top of the charts of indie and online outlets. That album featured number one hits like Keyanna, Real Love, I finish with you, Girl you know, Vacation love and his smash hit single CHICKEN, which went on to sell 22,000 copies thus making him the highest-selling Liberian Musician in 2016. T Sweet took some time off music in 2016 to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering graduating top of his class. He also started a career in acting where he played a main character in the Nyemah brothers critically acclaimed the film "Delude". In 2016 after making a name for himself and realizing the tremendous interest labels from all over the world had in him, T Sweet decided to form his own record label called Success Entertainment in an effort to stay independent and only partner with other labels for business ventures. The artist released his first single under the new label called Chicken a catchy Afro Lib folklore song that has it's own dance and took the industry by storm and subsequently released a video to Chicken which collectively generated over half a million views on youtube in no time. In 2017 the artist followed up with what would be his most popular record to date called Jukaju(Old lady), the wedding performance video for this song quickly went viral making the artist one of the most sought after artists in the United States for the whole of 2018. In 2019 the artist was named the Liberian Artist of the year recognized by the Liberian community Charlotte North Carolina chapter. In the summer of 2019, the artist tried his hand at acting again when he signed on to be a lead detective in the action-packed thriller called "The Ultimate Alibi" which is in talks to be released on Netflix in the fall of 2020. In May of 2020, the T Sweet as CEO of Success Entertainment signed his first artist in person of Eddie Dorbor cka 'MICRO". T Sweet is currently working on his sophomore album called Veni Vidi Vici, Meaning I came I saw and I conquer with the first single Enemy of Progress(EOP), already taking the industry by storm, T Sweet is poised to take over the world with his raw talent and ability to do all genre of music including Afro-pop, hip-hop, RnB, Hipco, Tapco, Gbemah, Reggae, Ragga, Reggaeton, Merengue, and Bachata. The Artist currently resides in Miami Florida with his household.
